Description
In the Grand Est Region, as elsewhere, the decarbonisation of transport is at the heart of the concerns of institutions, principals, logisticians and transporters. And for good reason, this decarbonisation of transport is essential to meet the objectives of a 55% reduction in GHG emissions by 2030 at European level, and the Paris Agreement, which aims for carbon neutrality by 2050.
From supply to the last kilometre, in the face of the climate emergency and regulatory challenges, sustainable ways of accelerating the decarbonisation of transport must therefore emerge. Deployment of LEZs, modal shift, rail and river transport, pooling and development of hydrogen are among the subjects that can be studied to meet this major challenge, which must be met collectively by the players in the sector. During this plenary conference, we will take stock of the issues, solutions and avenues to be explored to accelerate decarbonisation. Among the speakers, Émilie Gravier, Deputy Director General of the Ports of Strasbourg, will discuss the importance of river transport in this collective challenge. The EVE programme, which supports companies in reducing the energy and environmental impact of their transport and logistics activities, will also be discussed, while the issue of urban logistics will be addressed by one of the specialists in the field, Sogaris.
